CNU Northern California eNewsletter

March 2012

A Message from the CNU Northern California President:

If you're a member of CNU and live in the upper 48 counties of California, you're a member of CNU's Northern California Chapter. This year, we're reaching out to you in new ways, including this newsletter.  This quick-read newsletter highlights the Chapter's activities and events, and the key CNU national events.

Our Chapter is the fourth-largest of all CNU chapters, and has the highest proportion of members in the Urbanist category.  Your membership in CNU entitles you to participate in Chapter activities, and to participate in Chapter affairs such as sponsoring events and collaborating with other members.  This is a volunteer organization, so our collective energy depends on your contribution of time and ideas. Please consider how you can contribute to Chapter events, and let us know if you're willing to help out.

Steve Lawton, President

CNU NorCal Chapter Update

Election Results for New Board of Directors

CNU NorCal is excited to start 2012 off by a bit of reorganization and the creation of new roles, which will help us offer more to our members.  With these new roles, filled by the recent election, we would like to welcome the new board members and look forward to a reenergized CNU NorCal.

The election results are as follows:

  • President - Stephen Lawton
  • Vice President - Daniel Dunigan
  • Executive Director and Treasurer - Steve Coyle
  • Secretary - Dan Zack
  • Membership Director - Nori Jabba
  • Stewardship Director - Tim Frank
  • At-Large Director - Michael Michaud

Outgoing Directors include Tom Dolan (Treasurer) and Cindy van Empel (Secretary), who stepped down to pursue other interests.   We thank Tom and Cindy for their dedication and hard work in helping the CNU NorCal Chapter run smoothly and in the right direction.  We could not have come this far without them.
